Ruidoso is located in the midst of unexpected natural wonders. The nearby Fort Stanton Cave is the 3rd largest cave in New Mexico, and Ecoservants are now offering tours. Want to escape the heat? This will do it, and it will get you really close to the Earth.
Crystal Crawl: 2 hour tour through the 650 ft "crystal" crawl. Great tour for beginners and children. Must be at least 8 yrs old. 8 people to a group. $30 per person
The Lake Room: 4 hour tour beyond Crystal Crawl to one of our favorite rooms. Large formations, vast colors and even the floors are decorated. Must be at least 10 yrs old. Some crawling, climbing, and rough terrain. $50 per person
Hell Hole: 6 hour tour to the best decorations in FSC. Must be in good physical shape, at least 16 yrs old and we recommend one prior tour. Limited to 4 people. $95 per person We love caving!
Simply call (575)-937-1074. We must have at least 4 people to book a trip. Please book at least 2 days in advance. Participants must bring 4 AA batteries, drinking water, hiking boots and clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty. The cave is a constant 54-56 degrees, so dress appropriately. Hell Hole participants will need extra items; call for info.
